This first year long project is something close to all our hearts, building an army on the cheap. So, make a list, set yourself a budget and each month try and collect and paint your figures for the army. In December we will have a look and see who got the most impressive force for the minimum spend!
The minimum spend will take the form of a little calculation (as we are aware that some people may get more figures / bases in their army than others). So, at 25/28mm and above, you divide the spend by the number of figues and below 25/28mm you divide the spend by the number of bases. This we will end up with a cost per figure or base .. it works on paper at least!
No prize apart from getting a nice shiny new army for 2017 .. what more can you ask for?
Guidelines: we have some categories to adhere to, these are along the various scales, so 28mm and above, 20mm (1:72) , 15mm/18mm , 10mm and 6mm .. ok you can do less than 6mm but you'll probably win your category! Micro Armour, Aircraft, ships and space craft we will lump in to one category .. as they all cost roughly the same per miniature or unit. Sound fair?
So. get on ebay or facebook swap pages and go grab some bargains and get started on your path to the cheapest army of 2016!
